Gotta remember, the Brown Bess was the state of the art assault weapon of its day. Civilians were not limited to smaller caliber, shorter bayonet, etc.. stevemb

Not very good I hope, but we can't take anything for granted when the stakes are this high.

No offense to anyone here..and with sincere appologies to Subsonic, but The Great State of Missouri has a Achilles Heel in the form of St.Louis. I have several friends in the government here,in fact I can see the State Capitol while standing in front of my tool box,and the long running joke is that Missouri would be perfect if we could gift St.Louis to Illinois and Kansas City to Kansas. I seriously doubt this passing but if its the same Bill I heard about earlier the black chick presenting it will at least get points with the sisters in the hood.

I looks like the same wording used here in Minnesota. Same "think tank" put it together for all of us. Good luck guys! Our State Senate is doing bill introductions on the 18th.

At least we don't have to worry about such trash seeing the light of day here in Mississippi. Of course there are other problems, but at least firearms are still cherished here.

This ridiculous bill is getting all the attention while HB170 is not! We also have a bill introduced in MO that basically says that any Federal ban on any type of gun or accessory (hi cap mags) will NOT be enforced in our state. It also says that any enforcement of said bans will be a felony. This bill is probably just a return shot (pun intended) for HB170. I heard a representative from Springfield MO last night say that the guy that introduced this bill has as much chance of getting it passed as he has of being elected Pope. It is just an attempt at some national recognition. This bill was introduced by Rory Ellinger. He is a wealthy attorney from the Saint Louis area (University City). His daughter is a criminal defense attorney. I am sure she never defends criminal use of firearms??? Ellinger was at one time a body guard for Dr. Martin Luther King. (Un-armed I am sure). Ellinger also is big on "prison reform" trying to make life better for those behind bars as well as early release programs. Be nicer to the criminals and let them go, and take guns away from those that obey the law...all makes sense to me. Yeah we wished that the '93 flood would have re-channeled the Mississippi river and STL would have ended up in IL. Dan

We all think bills like these have no chance of passing but look at the POS that was put back in the whitehouse!! I for sure didn't think that would happen. I have never been wrong on a presidential election before. I knew he was going to win in 2008 but I didn't think there was any way the American people would be stupid enough to re-elect this America hating fool again. I was WRONG.
