Without reading everything, if you decide to adopt an older dog, get it know so the older one can get it broke into the routines and ease the transition.

I run 30/70 WW/Pb for HBWC in 38, and 50/50 for 45 ACP with no problems and 80/20 in 475LB @ 1150. 230 ball @ 875+ in 45 ACP no problem with Felix lube.
I think your OK blending up to about 1200 but once accuracy falls off it is time to harden it up. Lino in small amounts hardens better. Ya might want to get some super hard from Roto Metals to blend in also.

Off hand or unsupported is a highly perishable skill as is handgun shooting in general. Things I have done to improve include dryfire daily, 10m air pistol shooting as as of late due to aging eyes a Leupold Delta Point.

That what sucks buying on GB. Bought an Anschutz in 22 Hornet once and the barrel was pitted.

I think Diamond D took over manufacturing another 'local' nylon holster up there. It's OK, functional but would go with a Kenia or another local to me kydex before I went with the nylon now.
I really like the Diamond D for comfort and adjustable placement. The sinch strap makes adjustment easy to loosen or tighten when adding or removing clothing throughout the day.

OP, I saw some video that were posted some years ago displaying his modest ability. Do you know of these videos and able to post links. Just incredable.

Correct, they are all distributor exclusives, not catalog items,so; until the distributor decides to do another run they will no show up again except for the used market.
Set your cash aside that you are willing to spend on a copy, set your search parameters and notifications and wait. The other option is custom.
I myself have been looking for a cylinder for a bisvaquero.

The mass of the old steel triggers were a problem when they started hot rodding 1911s in the 70s which created the Valdecki trigger. Less mass riding on the sear was safer.

I know, they emailed me for CC info on my 38-40 backorder 6 weeks ago. I had ordered it along with some other brass and they ran out of the 38-40 and left it as a BO for 1.5-2 years. Figured they be shipping now but still listed as no BO.

Call around to the hobby shops and find one that has k&n metal tubing. Get the brass or stainless as as clean, glue into both nubs to give the hose barb some internal support.

OP, how is the trigger in that revolver?
If that is a new model Blackhawk with a plow handle, the previous owner may have had bad (Arthritic) thumbs and was easier to cook. The Power Custom Bisley hammer is available for install it a plow handle grip frame without molding the hardened hammer.
I just picked up two stainless 4 5/8" stainless (Bisley and a Plow Handle)Vaqueros in 45 Colt and the triggers are unmolested. I'm in the process of installing Powers trigger kits for the following reasons.
1. I'm on the road for work so have limited space (hotel) to do trigger work.
2. Time, the amount it takes filing, grinding, polishing, assemble, try, disassemble, shim, tweak, reassemble, try ect....
3. As Big Muddy posted.
After tweaking two Rugers to my liking (7.5" NMBH in 45 and a SS Bisley in 22) I have a better product.
Install is simular to a trigger job. Lay the foundation by removing burs and machining marks where parts mate, lightly polish where parts interact with one another, polish hammer hook and sear with a white synthetic stone retaining angles, measure for shims if needed, assemble and done. These kits average 2.0 lbs with a 23lb mainspring and a 30% reduced trigger return spring. No take up, rolling break
I just saved myself 8-16 hours and I have a better result. Power Custom Bisley $160.00. To me that is hitting the easy button.
