Mike,
My jaw is hanging really low. That is simply awesome. I love your holsters and all of the fine leatherwork folks post--but am also a huge fan of all sorts of artwork. My wife and I have a hard time passing up art galleries, checking out paintings, glass work, sculptures--and that piece certainly qualifies as a finely crafted piece of art. Truly gifted hands.
If not prying too much, could I kindly ask how long something like takes you to create, including reviewing the pictures and cutting out the proper size of leather. I simply cannot imagine.
Thank you for posting,
Will

Wow! I am blown away - that is true artisty!
And I agree, that should hang in a frame in someone's shootin/reloadin room.
There is a reason that they say a photo is worth a thousand words . . .

As a lifelong Keith aficionado, I agree with 2 Dogs, it would look GREAT framed on MY reloading bench . . .

Thank you for posting, Will Will, Thank you for the kind words. Many hours of thought and planning went into this piece, even before the actual carving began. Being able to incorporate art into leather beyond my gunleather has given me an outlet for creativity beyond pencil and paper. Here is one a did for Bart Skelton. His horse Zack had to be put down and he shared this picture of him. I carved this and sent it to him as a keepsake.

There is just no telling what Doc can pull out of his sleeve next ! He is becoming the premier leather artisan now that he is a full timer. Look Out ! The best is yet to come !
I would think a sixgun would be fair fodder for such work.........very unique project !

Ok Mike, I am just going to ask.... How much would one of those cost??? Really depends on the project, but this sort of custom work would start at $250.00... As far as the Elmer carving, being who he is, I think Tank is pretty close...
