As long as I’m not packing a gun I’m okay to be crawling around trying to move deer to him here in Oregon.

This coming Saturday, a gun raffle event in Erie with a couple of friends. They are then coming over to my house, roughly half way between them, Sunday for a fire lapping party ! Gonna move the required stuff from the back corner of the basement where my big bench is to just inside the back basement door, adjacent to the patio/range. Save some steps.

Best thing I ever taught my dogs. To wipe their own feet when they come in, in sloppy weather. They come in, onto the landing and I unhook the parachute cord runner line. Then I say.."round round" and they do tight laps around my legs on the rug just inside the door. Say, 2 to 4 laps will do it. Back csn be wiped off at the same time.

The dog did his part, you flubbed yours, WONDER HE DIDN'T BITE YOU. Maybe master should wear the shock collar and give the dog the controller ,Bet your aim would improve then! They can give you [THE LOOK,] can't they.

Ran up on some 38 Auto loads using AA 2 and AA 5.. Yup that was 38 Auto NOT 38 Super. My first 38S paper puncher was built back in the 90s following the path of Alan Fulford's Jim Clark built 38 Super. He shot a light jacketed Nosler bullet with VV powder. This gun runs run a Kart barrel. My second 38S Paper puncher was built to shoot the heavier cast bullets. It runs a Barsto barrel. Lots of playing with twist rates with the Super and 9mm these days... No, don't know the twist rates of mine. Might check some day.

Running back down the 38 Super rabbit hole... This gun was built by Dan Norwood from the National Guard MTU. Built after I retired in '95, we used a pre series 70 commercial Colt. In a natural state this gun would be desirable to a Colt 1911 guy. When I found it the finish has been destroyed. It looked like it had been wrapped in burlap and allowed to rust. The inside looked like a new gun. Dan got most of the surface corrosion off. If you know what to look for are bits of corrosion evidence remaining. w
