Well last night the neighborhood got power... But not us, as we have that pole broken on our dedicated line... Would have been nice if the would have gotten it since they were working a mile over... But sun is shining... Trying to figure out the generator issue... Something about bonded neutral and ground...will have to get it figured out before next time, since I have everything to hook it up to the pole and I've been stuck running cords... Made breakfast, coffee for MRS, and toast, using the microwave, toaster, and coffee pot... Now have poker tournament to go to, so will have to look at things later ( can't quit living because of some inconvenient weather )

Glad to hear that MWM. Am just home from camp. Wife decided to get a little fancy for our dinner this eve.. She went to an upscale grocers, Heinens, over in the next county, actually RUGERGUY's 'hood. She bought morels, fiddle-head ferns and the ingredients to make seafood Etouffe. Ought to go good with the brook trout brought home. Kinda a welcome to spring dinner. No bears or rattlesnakes or Watusi were seen. Darn.

We recognize four distinct seasons in the state of Maine - Winter, Mud, Bug, and Tourist. We have now officially entered Mud season...

You guys get frost boils down / over there???
I believe they come from moisture trapped above a layer of clay, and the freezing and thawing "unpacks" all the soil above that layer of clay, similar to quick sand, only there is usually a thin dry layer over the top ( like a trap )... They look like gravel or dirt "zits", driving over one can burry most of a vehicle.... When I was in high school, we had a big LP gas truck hit one in our driveway, and 8 tires disappeared below the ground, resting the LP tank on the ground... We have them lined up the middle of the driveway right now...
Drove around a little after we got power today... 2 miles north, there was a full miles of broken high power "grid" poles not replaced yet
Mother Nature must be pissed... Because middle of next week, more severe storms... Talking 4" of rain in the strongest, and more high winds...

Friday and Saturday are full auto days... Converted semi auto Ruger ARs went through a second two day session of full auto fire without failure. I'm thinking that speaks pretty highly of a Ruger AR that was never intended to be a fully automatic gun...
