Well, yeah, we did get a foot of snow. But just several days later, it's all gone. That may be it for this winter. It is not unusual to go 4 or 5 years with no snow, where I live in Hickory. I moved to western N.C. in 1969, and never regretted it.

Set a 22 and 45 paper puncher up with an Aimpoint 9000SC last year. Employee discount only allowed 2 per year. Ordered a third 900SC for one of the Supers. Will be here any day now...

I have one, I haven't used it. Awhile back there was a question posted about this since there are not many commercial cast bullets for most calibers and ranges (but thank you to GT bullets for carrying a beautiful selection). I asked about hollow pointing bullets and was informed it wouldn't be the best idea since the alloy might be too hard for the bullet to properly expand. If you want to borrow and try it out, let me know I'll ship you mine down if you promise to return it after your testing.

Proper expansion isn't really the goal. Stopping penetration is.... I don't think my old hands want me to run jacketed 44 HPs fast enough to open up. A good 1/8 hole in the nose of a bullet that originates as a hard cast 250 Keith just might self destruct pretty quick at a fairly slow speed... Ordered the tool 5 minutes ago... NEW PICTURES SOON!

Got a note from Dave Clements, that my GP-100 arrived safely... now the long wait... The gun will be getting converted to 10mm rimmed ( no moon clips ) the barrel cut to 3", an action job... also thinking about flatsiding the barrel, to shave a little more weight, then when I get my Ruger compact GP-100 grip back from Zane ( hoping for a set of spalted maple inserts ) those will get married to the custom work Dave is doing to the gun... This GP-100 was my 1st ever purchased handgun, so I didn't really want to trade it in on a new 10mm or 44 Special GP... I thought I'd make it into something special... I've had it now for about 31 or 32 years... a before picture... pretty standard 4" stainless 357 magnum GP-100 with some Pachmeyer grips start of this idea... 401 powermag ( essentially longer 10mm Rimmed cases ) sitting on my GP-100 cylinder...

Spring kit installed on the 629... Pachmayr grips too. Now to shoot this little beast. That 329 is calling to me every morning to pick it up and submit it to the same treatment... Did pick up two spring sets and two grip sets...
