It's amazing to me that those old buildings are in such good shape, after all these years. Thanks for the photos! I'm surprised how well they've lasted. If they were in Georgia, the termites would have rendered them into dust before the inhabitants made it out of sight..... You know, Mark, there are still a *few* old buildings left out in the country in the South that were made from longleaf heart pine. As long as they have a foundation to keep them off the ground (sandstone or similar), the bugs don't get to them. However, a spark will send them right up!
