Living in the country Where the reptiles are mean and dangerous and look a little like the ex in-laws I decieded I beter make a pest contol load. Using my reloading genius I chopped off the top of a winchester shot shell and captured the bb's. I put them in a speer capsul. But they didnt pattern like I figured they should. So I decided while I had fun making the load I didn't have enough fun to re-make it. So I got the pick up out of the garage and went to the hardware store to see what they had . I found a pest control load for the .22LR and a bought a pack. These here patterned right nice . So I concluded that this here would be my pest control load for all future needs. And it has worked to my satisfaction.

As usual, excellent photography, sixgunn! Great photos and a useful field report. Any photos of how the BBs patterned in the Speer shot caps?

Sixgunnn, what camera and lens are you using? Are you finding these close to home? We have a ton of them in the foot hills just west of town as well.

Excellent pics! Drop the rattles in a guitar or mandolin for some old-timey goodness.

Thanks for all the reply's. I don't know how to cut and paste the questions but will try to answer a few.
This load is for very close range only. I stand just outside of danger and aim for the pie hole. agrizz The camera(s) are all point and shoot. Mostly canon. foxtrapper thanks for the link to see what happens to snake-bitten people . The high plains are full of RS and they are plumb dangerous to people and livestock . You will not find a rancher with a thing good to say about RS. They have cows and horses killed each year from bites to the head while grazing.
