Yikes! The grips even have cavities to hold the flesh it rips from your palms! I've got a 4 inch round butt 500WE that is all I can stand.. Oddly enough, Axe, it isn't that hard to shoot. It mains, but not badly. ;D Good catch, zeus, it has a Smith & Wesson N-frame rear sight.

Yeah right! After the grip bark fills up with meat the thing just slides through your hand.. Lots of blood for lubrication too!

Here's another .500 JRH this time a Vaquero (with a scalloped frame and action balls) with with an ocatagon barrel -- sorry it doesn't have a Bisley grip frame. Also by Huntington. Looks like fun. Seriously, I'd love to drop the hammer on that a few dozen times. -Lee www.singleactions.com

The first one is a true beauty, the second one not sure how to describe. Not clear on the issue of stepping the frame like that when it comes to the serial number? Can you just restamp it?

The customer specified a scalloped frame, hence the scalloped frame. The serial number is still in its correct location on the other side of the revolver.

Whit, you mention that the small gun was a customer ordered gun? But you have shot it ? I saw a 50-110 from Huntington with a 2 1/2" bbl.??!! I dont know man, I spend way too much $$$ on powder to have it burn 4 ' in front of the muzzle?

Yup, a customer ordered that revolver as is. Customer gets what the customer wants as long as it is safe -- not sane, but safe! I haven't shot it, but Jack assured me it wasn't even in the same continent as the .50 Alaskan with regards to maiming power. ;D

That looks like Rob Leahy's work....just alot cleaner than the ones around here! That "Most Versatile Pouch" gives it away...I have been wrong before but I'm bettin on Simply Rugged.

Whitworth. That is the most beautiful set of grips ive seen yet. I love how the grain is in two directions. I assume that is Dhal Sheep by Fishpaw?

Don't know what kind of goat provided the horn, but you are probably right -- I will inquire! Huntington does his own grips in-house.
