I think it's the hair.

Must be the hair. I gotta think some of these gun videos contain a fair amount of 'acting'. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Yeah, something is wrong with that guy. There is a video on there of him shooting a 454 too and he does the same thing. He's going to end up with a front sight in his forehead. It looks like the gun is just slipping right out of his support hand, the gloves might have something to do with it but it sure seems extreme.

That looks like what Ross Seyfried does with the big boomers, doesn't it?

A puss shouldn't handle a gun. A disaster waiting to happen.

No video to post but when shooting full power 440 grain loads in my 4 inch 500WE I've been asked if I realized how close the gun comes to my head in recoil..

A few comments come to mind but I think "over dramatic" is the best. All it takes is about 10 minutes there to see just how many retards there are in the world.. And Id like to know the point of giving some little bitty girl a big ass gun of some sort so she can get hurt?

If I weighed 100lbs soaking wet I might shoot like that too.

He needs to quit his shooting career and get into full time acting. Looks like he's tying to make a name for himself by being a drama queen! Aint't the web great?

I got together with two friends at the local range for an afternoon of revolver shooting. All of us have something "big" 475 and 500 Linebaughs. My one friend is a few years my senior and when he shot his 500 Linebaugh he did the exact same thing as seen in the video. Each shot he took at least 1 and 1/2 to 2 steps backward. (although the gun didn't move as much as in the video.) The load he was shooting was some of ours, a 400 grain bullet running 1000 fps. (Tightgroup load, I think, as he didn't want to shoot up his factory stuff)
It was then I realized that recoil really bothered him. I think he is aware of it but he doesn't want to admit it nor does he realize how animated his reaction is to it.
Some folks really have a problem with recoil or muzzle blast. Looks like the fellow in the video does too.

I've always had a somewhat relaxed elbow hold and let the gun recoil. Some of the big ones end up over my left shoulder at nearly head level. I don't take steps backward. I also don't have the hair and fashion sense he does.
