picked up a parker-hale marked #4*1-T at an estate sale , bore looks new , 16 rnds fired by previous owner , where do i start on improving it ? all kinds of stuff included with it , scope , mount , rings , ammo , case, etc... needs some small parts and an original rearsight (they may have it) to restore... figure it should make a dam'd good truck gun ... had to give $80.00 for it ... too much ? ;-P*** ;D   |

No, you didn't give too much for it. Restore it, don't alter it, that is a former British sniper rifle and in good condition is worth something like 2-3,000 in 90% condition. Not a good truck gun.

bought a boar-spear and a naginata as well , going back later today to cherrypick some other stuff... |

oh , hell there was soooooo much stuff i lost track , we're helping the guy with some family problems and other stuff...
he and his mother gm and ggm all lived together in a rental so there was like a hundred years acumulation of dreck to deal with...
we're working to get them in assisted housing and secured facilities as needed...
they were just overwhelmed when the ggm and gm kicked off within a few days of each other...
beleive me when i say that nothing i got at these bargin prices was 'free' ...
we'll be months getting them squared away so they can function again...
why is it so many people in kalifudgepackistan are so f'ing clueless...?
seriously , the vultures in this town would have killed them for the glassware alone , we won't even talk about the furniture and antiques that were there , and the two 20x20 storage units of stuff they've preserved...
when we help them get the stuff consigned they'll be set for life...
