Anyone have experience with recently produced Charter Arms? I have a line on a cheap NIB 44 Special Bulldog (stainless, 2.5"). Please don't compare them to Smith or Ruger....I know they're not that good. Any reason why I shouldn't drop $295 on one howveer? I have a blued Bulldog from 1984 and thought a stainless would complete the set. BTW, the gun is in another state.....it'll be FFL to FFL, so I can't handle it before purchasing. -Lee www.singleactions.com

You have probably already found this, but just in case, JQ did a little write up on one. I don't know the date of the article tho. www.gunblast.com/Bulldog_Pug.htm

MY WIFE CARRIED A STAINLESS STEEL DOG WHILE FLY FISHING AND RIGHT NOW THERE IS NEWER MODEL STASHED IN THE BATHROOM. SEE CHAP 19 OF MY .44 BOOK.

I have a newer blued Pug and an old trusty rusty 3" Bulldog. They are handy I'd get that SS Pug for under 300.00 myself. Rob

I have had mine for three years, over 1000 rounds of blazer 200gr through it no problems. Looks like robl but with CTC laser grips and in stainless.
