There used to be a guy that had hex head grip screw sets for Blackhawks. All 5 screws were available in a set, likely 20 years ago but wondering if anybody knows where a guy could get all the screws in hex head?

They were long hex head screws to install in the grip frame when you were working on the gun so you could bolt the frame off and on with out buggering up the factory screws. I had a set but gave them away and need to find another set.

Kings6- You got it! I was misremembering again. Seems to happen with glaring regularity lately.

So not a bad idea for someone to put such a package together. The socket head (Hex) (Thanks Grumpybuzzard!) would make for a nice package. Perhaps I should go over to Fastenal or Grainger and see about it.

If you are discussing the assembly/disassembly screw set offered as a set for OM's & NM's several years ago,, they look like this;

Now,, if these screws are what you seek,, I can say I had to modify my sets a little. The (2) screws used to go into the frame right behind the trigger guard,, needed a little adjustment to prevent them from the occasional nicking of the rear portion of the trigger guard. I chucked them in my lathe,, and cut back the shoulders a bit to give me better clearance.
The picture above is prior to this adjustment.

Nope,, not brass. Steel. It's the lighting when I took that picture.
bigbore5,, when those became available,, I saw the excellent potential. I ordered (3) sets. I gave a set to a good gunsmith friend,, and the other 2 sets,, they are still here. (And no,, they aren't going anywhere!)
