I don't see where you mention what load your using. Have you tried different powders? I didn't but I will. But, doubt it'll make a difference. I believe this is a tolerance issue, but will try it...

Think I've made some headway. I Flex-Honed the throats a little more this morning.
A .309" Pin Gauge won't fall thru, but can be pushed thru with less resistance than before.
Ditto on .309" bullets. They can be pushed thru with less resistance than before.
Groups with cast bullets have shrunk to 1.4" on average. That's half of what they were before.
I can hone a bit more, but don't want any slack around the bullets as they pass thru the throats.

After opening my throats out to .309 I now size my .313 cast bullets (from 32mag/327FED) down to .309 with a Lee sizer in the single stage press. Gives you a whole new world of bullets to try. I also have a .308 sizer I don't use and was thinking about trying to open up to .310, Lee does not make one. Lee will make you any diameter sizer in about a week.

By the end of testing, I had surrendered.
Just about the time I thought I had cast working, things would go south.
No big deal, I'll just consider this one a jacketed bullet revolver.
Not everything works and this is one of those situations. I'll load up some ammo and have it ready to go...

Think I'll just stick with jacketed bullets in this one. That was going to be my suggestion, But I'm fat old and lazy

Several have suggested that I rebarrel the gun, use it as a base gun, etc.
I'll admit it would make an awesome 38-40 or an octagon barrel 30 Carbine. But, it'll likely stay just as it is and get fed a diet of modified Hornady 32 Cal XTPs...

For the .32s, .311...

Keep an eye out for any of the Speer Plinker bullets. Awesome in the 30 carbine. A half jacket style round nose.

I have been having good luck with these in my Old Model carbine, I did not have as good luck as I had hoped with cast either. The 90 Grain Hornady's worked well, I also had a few boxes of Speer half jackets I got with a 30 Herrett Contender I bought a while back. I shot them in the 30 Carbine instead of the Contender & they also worked very well. But I have bought a lot of these & they shot well for me too. At the price, I just plain decided to stick with them, sometimes they are Armscor, and sometimes they have other brands of 30 caliber FMJ's, the last batch of 1000 appeared to be Hornady's to me, but they seem to always have something on hand at a good price. www.rmrbullets.com/shop/bullets/rifle/308-7-62mm/30-carbine-110-gr-full-metal-jacket-round-nose-new/
