I this the same Shrapnel that was busting a pig in Texas with the sexiest 50-100-450 rifle a couple of weeks ago? Welcome Kirk, pull up a chair to the fire and stay awhile... Yes… That’s an ugly pig, but a beautiful rifle ! Welcome from East Texas !

That exact caliber and configuration of 1886 is my absolute dream/bucket list lever gun! I some pictures saved to my computer of a 50 Alaskan that Turnbull built on a Miroku gun that is identically configured. I want Turnbull’s to build me one someday. I might have it chambered in 50 Alaskan and load it down to 50-100-450 specs. My neck vertebrae might not like 450 Alaskan recoil!

Are you Mike Venturino’s “Shrapnel” friend he as mentioned in a few of his articles? Yes, is that a good thing? You survived the incident(s) that earned you your moniker, and many of us have learned (through Mike’s retelling) from them, so I would say yes. Welcome aboard! Great to have you here! If you’re Mikes friend, I’m sure you have a lot more to teach us about guns than how to blow them up.
