Seems reasonable for so much work.

Not a big fan of the raw engraving on the grip frame either. Easy enough to recoat I'd assume. I think I would have had a steel grip frame fit and engraved if it were my project

I've seen a fair number of customs from the "new generation" as of late that have left me asking the same question.

I think would have wanted the grip frame left alone or have it steel and engraved entirely.

Just walk away. Its not hurting anybody. Degrading peoples choices doesnt help anybody, just reinforces that you are a horses ass.

I think it would look a lot better if the two bits of engraving next to the frame were blacked in to complete the design, but the stand-alone engraving on the backstrap looks OK to me left in the white. Each to his own.

Yall jumped on one of my guns a couple years ago. It was my gun, my money and lots of people like it. I cant help how the gunsmith chose to finish the stainless. It was a good learning opportunity for me about gun vocabulary. Bobby Tyler is making it in a very challenging business. Raising his family and employing others who are doing the same. They are getting better and better. It is better to share the good of it. I agree this gun looks unusual with the alloy gf. The customer probably didnt want to pay for a grip frame swap. Bobbys engraving guy Ricky Sharp would definitely have had the conversation. Owning guns in America is a fragile condition. Knocking somebody for making a living doing what their customers will pay is upsetting. You dont blame Ford when kids put 4" spacers on their axles to make the tires stick way out there.

I agree this gun looks unusual with the alloy gf. Sounds like we agree, not sure why I look like a horses ass though. At least not this time

The engraving is very well done, just think the engraving on the grip frame should have been blacken.

It is difficult to blame Bobby Tyler for what his customers want to pay for. If somebody does not want to pay the extra 350-400 bucks to have gf swapped then is he supposed to turn away the work? I believe the original shared post was shared to disparage the work of TGW. There is enough posts on this forum to prove some members degree of disregard. I am supporting Bobby Tyler. He has done everything to an excellent level.

I took it as a commentary on the bright engraving on the gripframe, which I agree was likely the customers choice.
