In the 80's Astra made the 3" "POLICE MODEL" revolver for an affordable (as in less than S&W or Colt) M&P sidearm with that push button cylinder change feature. It was made to sell internationally and had 38SPL., 357 and 9mm cylinders available due to different requirements for different departments. I had one for a while. A very solid, high quality revolver. Never had a problem of accidental button pushin. Perhaps this is the plan with accessory cylinders coming.

The Kimbers trigger stacks, the Diamondback doesn't. I like both so it is just an observation.

The cylinder looks like a Ruger LCR.
I can't complain about copied features, because most of the neat design features of Charter Arms' revolvers were copied from earlier guns and Bill Ruger copied the Charter for his DAs. I like them both and like the collection of features. I'm sure the Kimber copied something. I just haven't looked at them closely enough to know who the copied.
I'm still not crazy about the easily removable cylinder/crane assembly. If the move had made the manufacture more efficient, simplified the gun's working, maybe, but it's unnecessary complication and expense and I wouldn't trust it as a CCW.
I WILL say the price looks more appealing than I'm seeing on those of the major players, which I feel is a commendable gesture. It doesn't LOOK "cheap" and may well be a decent gun.

This is their first revolver, so I'm inclined to wait and see. I know their AR rifles are nothing special.

I'd sure like to hold one of those for a few minutes...
