I almost bought it first thing this morning but saving my couch $$ for other comittments….plus I have its twin built by Clements. Was a steal… It’s built on a medium frame gun. www.gunbroker.com/item/1025742953

Anyone know if Gallagher actually made that one, as it is not marked?

Looks like a steel grip frame, instead of Aluminum?

I didnt even see that one. Nice gun, I would sure prefer to see it marked. But my favorite Clements gun is unmarked, but clearly is a Clements. That gun does not automatically say Gallagher to me.

I’ll fess up now. The GB check out page wasn’t taking my billing address because I have a “1/2” in my address. I eventually spelled it out, and it took it.
I’ve never owned a 4 inch single action, and I’m not sure that is quite my style, but I’m gonna give it a try.

I couldn’t find the script on the barrel on any Gallagher guns but I’m sure I’ve seen it before.
I have seen that lowered front sight on Gallagher guns in the past for sure.

LOOKING FORWARD TO A SHOOTING/HANDLING REPORT.

I have a blue NIB NM flattop 45acp/45 Colt that I recently got quote from Turnbull’s for them to: -Wide BP era flutes and chamfer the cylinders on just one cylinder $375 -custom grips from my wood $450 -CCH frame and hammer and rust blue barrel and grip frame. $1350 ($225 less for carbona blue) $2175 total the way I wanted it.
I wasn’t quite sure, at first, if this Gallagher gun was worth the price, but putting the Turnbull quote in perspective makes me think I did ok. I wonder what it would cost to have that Gallagher gun built today by a quality builder at bottom of the rung prices?

Quit thinking, keep smiling, start shooting.

How long ago did they give you that quote? I just inquired about browning/bluing and was told carbona is all they will do for a revolver. No rust bluing any more. Maybe I got bad info?

Dang I think they may have dropped the service then. This was just a day or two ago and it was Sarah Turnbull that said it. She said they still do carbona.
