Be sure to grab a meal at capital grill. Expensive but really, really good food and service.

maybe you guys are making me more "civil" I've always been of the mind set, that there is nothing good in DC, if somehow it disappeared, we wouldn't be missing much... now my nephew lives there ( he's in digital document storage ) thinking at minimum, that has to be thriving business there

One thing about the area, these folks like to eat and gif food choices abound. We go back out in April for Rexlan’s first birthday and the wife really wants to see either the Library of Congress or the National archive on that trip. So far we’ve visited Arlington National Cemetery, the Washington monument, the Lincoln Memorial and watched the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The second trip let us see the Museum of the Bible, the big outdoor Christmas Market and Pentagon City. Last weeks trip was pretty much homebound due to my knee replacement recovery but we still got to tour Georgetown University where Rem attends and walk around neighborhoods of 2-3 million dollar homes that look like they have only MB, Audis or Porches for occupants.
