In 2013 and 2014 I was in Boise and went to the Elmer Keith Museum..
Looked at all the guns and took quite a few pics but the one gun that stuck in my mind that I don't have a picture of was an OM Super Blackhawk with a 4 5/8" barrel... It was odd in that Bill Ruger would didn't believe in short barrel .44s but unless I was imagining it there was one there... It may have had a brass gripframe like his OM .41 Magnum did...I do have a picture of that one...
Anyone else have a picture of it or remember it...or was I dreaming...
Thanks...Bob

I recall a 4 5/8" Brass grip framed 41 mag, could that be gun you remember? Pretty sure Brian Pearce owns it now...

Thank you John...wasn't sure if I had also seen a SBH in .44 but guess I was mistaken...

I do have a picture of the .41 BH with the brass gripframe... I was just thinking there was a short SBH in there also... Can't see Elmer without one after some of the articles that he wrote about it...

Thank you John...wasn't sure if I had also seen a SBH in .44 but guess I was mistaken... The pic Taffin posted is of the 44, so you are not mistaken. If you enlarge the caliber area you can see “44 Magnum”, seeing all three 41,44,45 is quite a treat. Trapr

ALL ARE CRRECT--KEITH HAD THREE IN .44, .41, AND .45 COLT. DAVE WAYLAND WAS FINE GENTLEMAN AND COULD PUT REAL PESONALITY INTO GRIPS HE CRAFTED. 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOOTISTS SIXGUN BY MILT MORRISON WITH GRIPS BY DAVE. postimg.cc/21b6QJCG

John Taffin had a big hand in getting all of Elmer's stuff moved to Cabelas' in the first place, he probably handled all of those guns shown above.

Are any of these in private colletions?

I believe his estate sold all of them a number of years ago through an auction house.
