As Bushy pointed out to me, I may have jumped the gun on bidding on the 581 since the ejector assembly may be a problem when switching from a L frame barrel to an N frame. Andy Horvath said he has bot an L frame gun adn some N frame barrels so he will take a look and let me know if it is feasible. If not, no big deal. Hopefully someone else would bid on the gun like it did or I have an extra L frame fixed sighted gun! Then I'll look for a HD or another 58 for the starter gun.

I will know later today if all gun sales are shut down here in the state or if there is a two month extension of a complete judicial stay until it is fully litigated. Robb And I thought New Jersey was bad.... I am so sorry to hear this especially from a beautiful western state as Oregon.......

I know you're sounding like a S&W is in order, but will that barrel work with a rethread or??? on a GP-100??? my Clemments built 10mm Rimmed is one of my favorites... I was able to put a compact factory Grip on mine ( it's an SP grip, factory molded on the inside to fit the GP's ) Zane did some custom Rams Horn inserts... my base gun, was a stainless 357 & had adjustable sights, but think the GP was available blued & with fixed sights What is a 10mm rimmed? Like 219/30-30 brass with the rim redone and cutoff?

Base brass is 41 special or 41 mag, swaged to 10mm and trimmed to length… they load in regular 10mm dies with a change of shell holder… came up with this cartridge, while making 401 powermag brass

Imgur isn't cooperating but Alan did a great 38 WCF conversion on my 4" M28. An Al Seigrist rebore. Same with an OM 357 Flattop Alan built.
