The blade is Grohmann that I bought as a second( very small check and the ugliest Rosewood ever). I rehandled it with sheep horn to match the grips of the revolver.

Thought maybe a Grohmans. No in the hand experience with, being such a general purpose blade, not sure why I haven't played with yet. Thank You

A quick google, I'd look at a 2nd too. My Cold Steel Voyager 5" will continue to be packed. Also a 6" Rapala that has been shortened to a 5" and similar to many Scandinavian type field blades, but cheaper !

It my second one the first is the Canadian Air Force knife. The same blade just a inclosed flap sheath. The first was a present from my wife and son got it in1997-8 era has gone many miles with me. It has rarely been on my belt. Years ago I started to carry a “death bag”. It’s just a heavy duty ziplock bag with my knife, zip ties, tag holders, blue shop towel. WetOne had towels, cable saw ,drag rope and few latex gloves. Started using gloves the year I put a rust spot on my rifle with a bloody finger print. This year I added a new saw sold by Milwaukee Tool. It a folding saw that uses sawzall blades worked well to split the pelvis. Have to use it more to see if it stay. The Death bag is in foreground of the picture
