NY has no minimum length, however, the barrel can be no longer than 16 inches. My T/C barrels all measure just under that limit.

Firearm Methods
Methods allowed during all portions of the firearms deer season, except the alternative methods portion: •Centerfire pistols, revolvers or rifles using expanding-type bullets. Legal ammunition includes lead bullets, copper bullets and bullets made of other material designed to expand.

MS has no limitations on barrel length, caliber or muzzle energy.

I realize each state has regulations, but it seem a tht a lot of you on here use shorter Barreled guns 4.75-6" range. Any noticeable departure using these over like 7.5" guns.

The only barrel length limit I find in the Alaska Hunting Regs is for Front Stuffers. No pistols allowed.
Muzzleloader You MAY NOT use a muzzleloader: • For big game UNLESS it is a shoulder-mounted long gun and is at least .45 caliber or larger with a barrel that is either rifled or smooth bore and discharges a single projectile.

Delaware is 5 3/4” minimum length

South Dakota requires 1700 ft lbs min for elk.. Does that seem kinda high and quite limiting to you folks ?
