A little buffing polish will fix that right up. Amazingly, according to MR it was pretty much just that! Spin off wreckage, headspace new barrel, attach new ejector assembly, box and ship. Said it took about an hour.

Are we sure it isn't just a grappling hook launcher? Very funny, but that really is what it looks like! Kind of a testament to the safety benefits of long barreled revolvers. It puts the barrel splitting wayyyy out there away from your face and hands. 😀

Hope the shooter was wearing his brown pants. If he wasn't, he is NOW!

Hope the shooter was wearing his brown pants. If they weren't when he put them on, they were when he took them off...

If you follow their custom shop guy on Instagram you’d see a lot of blown up barrels and cylinders as well as the occasional cracked or bowed frame. The most impressive one he showed was a .500SW that blew the cylinder and lit off the two adjacent rounds simultaneously. That had to have been wild for the shooter! Can’t imagine the recoil. One of the slugs went right down the ejector rod housing.

Hope he gets the barrel back and mounts it over his work bench. A testament to how lucky he was, and how sudden things can go wrong. Probably a good reminder for us all.

Gentlemen!!!! Prime example of when you hear a wooosh pop, instead of a BOOOOOOM. STOP AND TAKE A LOOK SEE!!!!!!! Had a 41 mag blackie do that once in the mid eighties, (woosh pop.) no recoil! Cocked the hammer and started questioning myself, Hmmmmm, that didnt sound right. Let that hammer down real slow, Pulled the cylinder out, unburnt powder and Yep 210 grain lead stuck a half inch in to the barrel past the forcing cone! Wooooooo. Dodged that bullet. Factory ammo to. Oh well.
