As your culinary advisor, Dick, I advise you to add a stick of nitroglycerine dynamite to your breakfast, it will break your fast; and to sprinkle on a spoon of African Bird Pepper, a.k.a. cayenne. Both will act as a vasodilator, git more oxygen to them precious eyeballs. I’ll squeeze off a round for you from the Ruger 03, David

May you recover fast....
When I was in Idaho in 2014 I made the mistake of not contacting Dick while I was there as I really didn't know him all that well...big mistake on my part... He bought a 16-4 from me earlier this year and during our conversations invited me to come out and varmint hunt this spring...I am hoping it will come to pass...

I've been reading this forum for many years now, never felt I had anything to offer but the information that's on here has been so good. I enjoy the peaceful conversations and most of all I look for Sixshots input. I don't know Dick but wish I was his neighbor, sure seems like the kind of guy to be around. Always positive and helpful, wish I could be like that, but I can't. Get well soon Dick, a lot of shooters out here that admire you more than know. Want to thank you for that. Greg

Greg ***** Dick Thompson got hard into Handgun Silhouette at the wild & wooly beginning. Worked with Dollie & Elgin Gates publishing The Silhouette, the monthly rag of IHMSA (International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association). Like some of us old steel shooters, Dick walked onto the silhouette firing line as a hard boiled handgun hunter. Some silhouetters went from hunting steel to hunting meat with a sixgun, Dick went from hunting meat to hunting steel, then back to hunting meat with his sidearm. Dick's practical knowledge on bullet performance runs deep, with one constant----bullet placement. His choice of bullet material----LEAD----makes Dick somewhat of a Puritan. Which I am not. Gives us a chance to compare notes. David Bradshaw

You know, I can't express how much this site means to me, and Dick Thompson is an integral part of that. He "adopted" me as his friend a few years ago simply because I donated a couple relatively small items to his wounded warrior project. It has meant the world to me, and I sure hope Dick gets better soon.
All the best, buddy!

I think he was released from the hospital in Salt Lake City on Friday to go to the hospital in Soda Springs for more recovering and rest. “Callshot”

Good to hear, Callshot. Hopefully, that means he's doing better, if okay to move. Thanks for letting us know.
