I'm a long time single action revolver hunter and im starting my first single shot handgun build. I'm looking for some 405 winchester brass. Does anyone know where i can get some or have some that i could buy? Thanks

Tough to find these days. Hornady is the only supplier and isn't making any, but has recently released a lot of loaded ammo. Even 405 basic is scarce. Perhaps a member here has some. I only have one box of new brass and am hanging on to it for my rifle.

None out there that I know of. Gary sold off the last Hornady Brass cheap.
Honestly, I bought a bunch of it. Have two 405 WCFs.
Gonna be tough getting anybody to turn loose of any with zero being made.
Maybe Starline will pick it up in the future.

There are two listings on GB with a total of almost 150 pieces.
I was in the hunt for a 1895 405 for while. Still want one with the rear peep...

None come with a peep sight that I am aware of and only some are drilled from the factory for one. I just recently snagged my third, the so called Texas model with case colored receiver, its not drilled. Oddly most of the fancy versions with engravings etc., seem to be drilled for one. The ones least likely to be actually shot and used!

This is the Lyman receiver sight that I was referring to. I know it doesn't show on most much less many 1895s but that doesn't prevent me from wanting one. 😁

Thought you were referring to the modern made rifles. There is at least one repro model 21 sight available, but have not tried one. My new rifle is not drilled and I hate to do so and will likely just shoot with the opens.
