Anyone use the Rimrock Bullets 215 gr SWC’s? $45 for 600 seems like a good deal for a general use/plinking bullet

I use a lot of their .411" 240 gr & like em a bunch. Accurate bullet & no leading at 1200-1300fps.

I probably have a duplicate set of 41 mag dies if you are interested. Thanks but I ordered some from Midway along with some Starline brass today.

Congratulations on getting a gun you want. Each person is different in their perception, I guess. I still have not had the opportunity to try a single action 41 magnum. I have owned model 57 S&Ws in four and six and a half inch barrels, along with a model 58. My experience was surprise. I had been told all the stories about how they would do everything the 44 magnum would do with less recoil. That was far from my experience. The ones I shot had violent recoil and nasty ear splitting noise when fired. I perceived them to be like a 357 on steroids rather than the little brother to a 44 magnum. Like I say, I have yet to try a single action and most of the people I have seen promoting them are shooting single actions. The type revolver still would not account for the report of the fired round. I am too old now to dance with a different partner, but I am still curious what it is that made my experience so different from those I read about on the net.

Your destined for a 41 sa! Lol

I think alot of it has to do with the ability to load down and still have enough bullet to do the job. I load mine with 2 different loads. The rip snorting loads you are talking about, and the milder loads that will do everything I need from a handgun. 16.5-17.0 of 2400 pushing a 230gn bullet is a stout load, but 8.0-9.0gns of unique under the same bullet is a pleasure, and will do anything I need. I also don’t think that the full magnum loads sting my hand like the full magnum 44’s do.

The 41mag is an awesome cartridge, very accurate and hard hitting, I took a 12 pt whitetail this last season with a 210 gr Speer deep curl, and a mild load of 8.8 gr unique, shot was 60 yd full frontal, never did recover that bullet. Congratulations on your bisley 41. I'm thinking about adding one like your's to my collection, very nice.

2nd...what gun/barrel length did you use...
The Gold Dot is one of my favorite jacketed bullets...
8.8 of Unique would be in the 1070 fps range from a 4" barrel...

This was out of my super blackhawk hunter with the 7 1/2" barrel, I'm getting 1120 fps out of that gun, with that load, it is my favorite gun by the way , 11.5 grains of hs6 get me an even 1200, also a great load, I haven't found one that doesn't perform well through that gun though.

I took the new 41 Bisley out today and put 100 rounds of Cowboy Action loads through it (all I could get my hands on). This thing really shoots well and locks up tighter than any of my other revolvers. I got my brass and bullets in the mail yesterday but the dies still aren’t here. Looking forward to trying some good ammo in it.
