My +1 base pad from Taran Tactical is so thin I still carry it concealed in a DeSantis front pocket holster. It hardly adds any length at all. The pictures on the TT website don't show... at least it doesn't show what I have. Maybe they changed their style since I bought mine. The +1 adds just enough to allow half the width of my pinky finger to fit on the grip, so i have a full hand grip on the 43.

Shield Arms makes a flush-fit steel double-stack 15-round Mag for the G43. Heard only positive things about them

"15 round steel magazine for the Glock® 43X/48, same size as the Glock® 10 round magazine with Black Oxide Finish."
Pretty sure those won't fit the 43, just 43X/48.

Using a plus 1 pierce mag base on my 43. I ground the hook off to straighten it like the factory issued. Waiting for shield to make a 10 shot mag for the 43.

I carry a Glock 26 daily and trust my life to it. Since that’s off the table, I’ll say a Glock 43. Shield Arms now makes a reliable flush-fit 15-round steel magazine for it as well. I run Glocks for all my serious fighting pistol needs - this is after 12 years of Marine Corps/combat experience, being a Foreign Weapons Instructor for the Marine Corps, and cross-training/working with all the three letter agencies as a FAST platoon sergeant. All my glocks wear Ameriglo Agent sights. If they have a rail, they have a streamlight TLR-1 or TLR-7. For my money though, the width difference in the 43 and 26 are negligible when you consider the magazine compatibility and shootability of the double-stack 26. It handles as well as a full size for me and takes 10, 12, 15, 17, 21, and 33 round magazines that I can also run in my other pistols and carbines. In a Vedder lite-tuck IWB kydex holster it completely disappears. I carry it with a 12-round magazine and keep a 15-round as a spare. Had thousands of rounds through it with zero failures. ***** tdbarton.... while this is beyond the scope of help I’m trying to pass along to individuals devoid of interest in firearms beyond saving their ass, the Glock presents a coup[le of challenges. (Which is not to say, all firearms must be familiarized for practical use.) Forget the impossibility of depressing the Glock trigger in gloved, deep freeze conditions----the solution is to rip off the glove on the draw. You just can’t go mousing around with bare hands in some of the weather I’ve been shooting; therefore, a Glock will not be in-hand. The only tactical way to carry a Glock----and similar types----under this deep freeze is with your finger inside the trigger guard! While Heckler & Koch beat Gaston Glock to the punch in basing an auto pistol on a plastic frame, Glock leeped completely outside the box in designing his shootable, reliable pistol. Glock didn’t have to maneuver around patents the way John Moses Browning did in designing a machine gun smothered in Hiram Maxim’s patents covering automatic fire, brilliance introduced to my skull by old Bill Ruger. Based on instruction I’ve given, the best choice for a person unfamiliar with handguns, aft some instruction, is rent-&-try at a range. Appreciate this input of yours and the input of others, David Bradshaw

I picked up 2 from Midway some time back to try out. Ne'er a bobble from either one. I use them as backup mags to the +1 TT basepad. I load mine a round less for 11.

Ive read some positive reports of people using magguts in various magazines to increase capacity at approximately same length. magguts.com/

Sig P365 has a smooth faced trigger with no safety blade type of insert. The trigger rolls back almost like a good D/A revolver. There is a P365 MS that has a frame mounted thumb operated safety somewhat like the 1911.
Don't know if the trigger guard is large enough for a gloved finger though.
I prefer the ergonomics & action of the Sig P365 & P320 over the Glock 19, 43, 43X, 48.

The Shield mag, if it ever materializes should be flush. Also, I live in a 10 round state and work in a 7 round state. Btw....I’ve used maggutts in a few guns. I’ve removed them and went back to Original factory parts. In my SW BG 380 I started to get nose dives in the mag. Couldn’t trust them.
