One who's father had it built, died for what ever reasons. Kids no own it and have no idea what was in their hands, and needed drug money. Pawn shop probably has $250 in the danged thing...

Yes, kind of sad that it was pawned. Hope it finds its way back to a good home.

I agree with Fowler, or possibly a stolen gun and pawned.

Based on some of their other stuff, it wouldn't surprise me if they buy smaller collections or they may be known as the local go-to when someone passes or the owner wants to get things settled before passing. I've known some "pawn shops" that are really gun stores in all but the name.

Everyone’s heard the joke about how I hope my wife never sells these for what I told her that I paid for them. Last weekend my 10 year old daughter was watching me follow the Amoskeag auction, thanks to whomever linked that here I got a fair deal on a 45 colt mtn gun, and I explained to her that nobody except old daddies cares about gun collections. Everyone should have a plan for their collection. Imagine all the various treasures that get robbed at local gun stores or worse yet the dreaded gun buy backs. What if there was a non profit foundation whose purpose was to provide this service? Something like what was just done for Mr. Gallagher. A small amount of the proceeds could be used to promote shooting sports for the next generation.

IF IT WERE NOT FOR FOOLS, DIVORCE, THIEVES, AND, WORST OF ALL, HEIRS, MANY NEAT GUNS WOULD NEVER GET PAWNED.

I contacted the seller with an offer several weeks ago and they said that they would have to contact the consignor to see if they would accept the offer.
I found the Bowen Best Quality #11 before he got back to me and I pulled my offer apologetically due to lack of unlimited funds.
So, I think it's a just a guy who wants to sell his guns.
It's a Jeff Quinn Special so that conversion plus the cost of the gun was right at or a bit below the asking price.
Just sayin....

There’s a pawn shop in town that had a regular customer contract them to sell his guns in the event of his passing. He had some nice guns. Wish I’d had unlimited funds there. Same as here now. Ha
