Axehandle, Axehandle, I also like the ACP revolver, and I have a no-lock stainless ACP Mountain Gun, 625-6. Great photo of your TR 22 posted above. I am a novice at digital photography, so could you tell me what setting you use for such a sharp photo? Also, my comp is brand new, and screen setting may need adjustment, but those ACP cartridges appear to be longer, more like .45 Colt. Most likely a setting adjustment needed here. Thanks. David

I have a TR22 and consider one of the finest self defense revolvers ever produced. I just wished this Model would have been around 20years ago when I was working out of a County Sheriff's car.

Ezekial, did you change the front site, or cut it?

Two things: I swapped the original for a .250 patridge sight, then I put a 10 degree slope on the rear of the patridge to reduce holster drag when drawing the weapon.
Painted the rear surface with an orange model paint for fast pick up of sight.
The Model 22 has a pin in front sight from the factory.

ncdave.... #1 is good light. Get the gun out in natural light... Full sun on the shady side of the house or mid day on a cloudy day seems to be best.. #2 Use the macro zoom so that the camera will focus on the gun and not somewhere... #3 Carl says that using a tripod will make more difference than you would ever think.. #4 Read what the guys who take the real good pictures write...

Finally shot the little beasty yesterday... DAO with GI ball ammo at household ranges I was pleased with the gun.... Shot to point of aim and well enough to pick the eye you want to put the bullet in... Didn't care for the stock grips... Not enough for my fat little paws to hold.. Kept rapping the knuckle of my thumb...

I think it'd make a beautiful defense gun. Frank

I agree Frank, just wish S&W still made something in 45 Colt for those of us out there that would like one. I'm actually considering building something off of an N frame that is going to look a lot like the Thunder Ranch if all goes well in the next few weeks
