In all the years I've been reloading, I have owned 3 presses. A Dillon 650, RCBS Rockchucker, and an RCBS Turret. Now I'm leaning towards something new. Any thoughts on the CH4D or the Forster Co-Ax?

If a turret is under consideration look at the Redding, as well as the RCBS. David Bradshaw

I picked up a Ponsness Warren Metalmatic P-200 a little while back. I haven't had a chance to set it up and use it yet but am looking forward to giving it a try. It came with a second head so I can load several different handgun rounds with just the two heads.
I started out with an RCBS Junior and graduated to the Rockchucker I've had for 30 years. Along the way I've added a Lyman Turret press and a Lee hand press as well as an old Lyman TruLIne. I need to machine out the Truline to except 7/8-14 dies.

No first hand experience with those two. My Rockchucker is the original. When I passed through a STW based cartridge and Ultra Mag phase I bought a Redding Ultra mag press to accommodate the length. Redding makes good stuff..

I've got on hand a RCBS RockChucker, RCBS Turret, a pair of Dillon SDB's, and a Co-Ax. The Co-Ax will not be going anywhere ever. You can't do everything with it like you can with the RockChucker however (sizing bullets with a Lee Sizer for instance).
Regardless, I consider it my best press! I've considered getting another, but I don't want to waste the extra counter space and the one I have won't wear out in my lfetime.

Thanks for the input. Currently running the RCBS Turret. Don't know how 1000's of rounds it's loaded. I've been leaning towards theForster.

I also load on an rcbs turret press. What makes you want another? Sounds like you have all the bases covered. Do you still have the dillon?

Nope on the Dillon. Think just trying something different. No issues at all with the RCBS.

I find that I don’t experiment as much with different loads anymore. I have good loads for all my guns, so, I am thinking about getting a progressive, but I will always keep my rcbs turret.

I hear great things about the 550. I have tossed that around. I load alot of 44 Special. Picked up a ppc gun and might want to volume load for that.

I have sold the Dillon 550B press, both Rock Chuckers and just have the Redding T-7 on the bench. A turret stacker is waiting for the two new turret heads to arrive then they will each be loaded with two sets of dies.

I’ve got a pile of old Hollywood turrets and single stage presses, but I generally use an old Bonanza Co-Ax for most reloading. My bench has removable mounts with room for 2 presses so I sometimes leave crimp dies in a Hollywood turret and do the rest on the Co-Ax. I also have another old Hollywood turret mounted on a bench down at my workshop, near the range, that I use to decap before cleaning brass. I don’t load but a couple of hundred rounds at a time though. Tim

Co-ax. All I've loaded with for the past few decades...except for a Dillon I had for a *short* while. I did keep the tumbler and separator...;-) Slow? Amazingly, I have shelves full of loaded stuff. Got my system down, it's fast enough.

Co-ax is a real nice press once your dies are all set.. very easy to swap between sizers & seaters. I really like mine.
One word of caution though, if you load rifle as well, and might shoot 338L or similar (long) oversized casings... you better hang onto one of the old presses on your bench. Co-ax isn't as friendly as the others going back n forth to & from the really big stuff. Handgun cartridges and ordinary calibers though, you'll love it.

Which CH4D press are you considering? Love my 444x pistol champ And am considering adding a champion for the heavier work. My champ was converted from an old 3 stage aluminum version, so it’s kind of a mixed bag of parts that Dave put together for me but has held for 25k rounds since the conversion. The new ones are all steel and basically a tool room job.
