Good job Trapr! Those of us who elk hunt have all been in the same boat at least once in our lives. You look at that super deer laying there, turn around and look where you need to get the pieces, realize how tired you already are then just shed the pack and start in. I hate to admit it but my body is beat up enough I do have to look at the back end of successfully hunt nowadays which is something I NEVER looked at when I was in my thirties and forties. Still, it is like a Bushman eating an elephant, just one small bite at a time!

Looks similar to the flat area my fingers took his 5x 5 in Colorado two years ago. I need to start doing my research and find a unit to apply for and go back so I can actually hunt instead of just paying for his hunt.

Congratulations Trapr. That is a great elk done the hard way. We all know the tremendous amount of work involved after the kill not to mention the transport out. Very impressive trophy with a beautiful gun.

Fantastic hunt traps, great pictures and love the rifle. The bikes are a great way to access remote backcountry.

Congrats on a fine hunt,, and a hard but well earned freezer full of meat. I just returned from Co. hunting the 4th season. I got skunked,, as I was hunting around Craig,, and it was all open scrub sagebrush for miles. Too warm & the elk stayed away. You worked hard,, and it paid off. I don't think I'd want to use a bike for hunting like that! Made me sweat & cuss just reading it! Kudos!

Congratulations, I'm a fan of your work. I have a sincere love of sixguns and use them (one in particular) every day. However, I'll always keep a few good rifles around. Congrats again.
