I really considered keeping it, but have too many 22’’s right now, that I’d rather not part with... this one was FIL’s rifle, but not a family heirloom and none of MRS family seems interested

Looking like this rifle is ultra rare in this country... a pre #1 probably about 1945 manufacture, ( edit... OK... manufacture date is still debatable... some say the "tgf's" began production in 1949 ) & in this good a shape... unless it's worth some "crazy" cash amount, I may decide to keep it... funny, it's been in my possession since the early 90's & I don't think I ever fired it...
it is also the only Kollmorgan scope I own, & that is very clear & nice, with only a couple small wear spots
I already have 1 guy trying to buy it from Rimfire Central, where I got a bunch of the info from members over there... Thinking this will go pretty good on auction if listed right

BRNO pre #1 ***** magnum wheelman..... please take clear photos of the action, bolt, bolt face, bolt sleeve, barrel length, sights, sling swivels. May stimulate persons with knowledge to share what they know. American shooters in general have scant experience with European .22’s. David Bradshaw

I'll take a few this weekend... the "tgf" picture was one I snapped in a hurry last night in poor lighting... just to verify it was a pre #1 BRNO
if it does end up going for sale on Gun Broker, "Sarah15" ( the seller I've been using ) takes usually more than a dozen high resolution pictures for each gun... so there would be some good quality photos taken then...

MWM, that is the correct butt plate, same as on my 1950 BRNO Model 1. These days a good Model 1 runs close to $400, I should think yours might go for a bit more due to its rareness. They are a really good little rifle and very accurate. I use mine primarily for offhand practice.

I have a number 1, never shot it. I always find myself grabbing my CZ 452 Trainer instead. Recently got a 452 FS and I think a Leupold 1-4 or 1.5-5 would be the bomb.
That reminds me, I need t find a couple of extra magazines.
