COOL GUN, NOW THE FUN BEGINS, NEW DIES, CASE FORMING, RELOADING, SET BACK ISSUES, DEGREASING LOADED ROUNDS AND CHAMBERS, etc. I THINK YOU MAY WANT TO GET A CUSTOM LEE FACTORY CRIMP DIE MADE, WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU TO CRIMP W/O "BULGING" THE CASE SHOULDER. AS AN ALTERNATIVE, YOU CAN TRY TO FIND A 357 CYLINDER (I MAY HAVE 1 OR 2 LYING AROUD).

Strange timing.I was just today talking to a friend and the .357 Bain and Davis came up.He had a barrel for a Contender in that caliber.

Many years ago I bought a Model 28 for the purpose of having it rechambered to B&D. At the last minute I changed my mind and didn't do it, had a Contender barrel rechambered instead. I've always kind of regretted that, the 28 went down the road.
I've often wondered if set back issues where over blown, or the result of people using really oily chambers. I sure have no issues with 38-40, traditional loads or VERY hot "magnum" loads. Not exactly apples to apples shape wise, but still...
I've repeatedly toyed with the idea of picking up a bisley to rechamber, but have never run across one. I never bothered to track one down as I know how much use the 38-40 sees these days and I know the B&D would sit not long after the novelty wore off.

We'll have none of that sir.

I hope you have a lot of fun with that. A hi tech (at the time) approach to getting more 35 caliber power from revolvers.
I’m wondering on the recoil & muzzle blast, compared to the 4” 357s and 44s.
