Funny, sometimes you think you know something about somethings, then someone reminds you your memory is toast. This is an old Horvath marking. Thanks Glenn

Here is my Three Screw conversion, a Three Screw .357 converted to .44 Special by Dave Clements. The cylinder was rebored and the original barrel was rebored and new rifling cut. A steel grip frame and ejector housing was fitted, the gun refinished and the frame case hardened by Doug Turnbull. Total cost was $1100, this about 2005 ~ 2006 or so. Grips were by CaryC, and are walnut. Bob Wright

Does not seem like it would take much to rechamber the cylinder then swap out the barrels once Ruger started making the 44 mag blackhawks but that is just an armchair perspective. I thought the same thing, but found that most 'smiths charge around $150 to turn down a Super Blackhawk/Blackhawk barrel down to match the mid-size frame, in addition to reboring the cylinder. Thanks for all the input guys. Guess I'm gonna have to go and give that gun another look... not that I wasn't going to go do that anyway! One things for certain, a 44 Special is most certainly going to end up at this house. New, old or otherwise. They just seem to make so much sense.
