Spend money on the scope rifle barrels get replaced as guns do.buy the best scope then left over on the rifle . I've had a lot of cheep to middle of the road gun shoot under moa.tikka,Savage,Browning,Ruger all make budget friendly guns. But tracking of a scope comes with a price.

Is Tikka a "budget" Sako? Is there a particular model that is most popular? The T3X comes in many flavors.
I gather that the venerable .243 runs out of gas before the 6.5 Creedmoor?

As far as I know yes about Tikka. The 6.5 is a paper puncher that is buget wise are there better yes. But just for ammo cost beating she is willing to take. The 223/556 is wallet friendly but 800 it loses constancy,6mm ,6.5,270,7mm,30 and up are capable, question is how much are you spending on ammo. I reload and have spent more on powder and components than my guns are worth. For cost Savage with Accu trigger and a entry level scope for a start lowest I would go is vortex tactical 6x24 nice tracking good glass best now German and Japan typically make the best glass we have nice USA scopes but a little out of the price you quoted.atholon is USA based but clicks are not as crisp as the vortex.both are life time warranty. Bushnell makes a budget ok glass close tracking but mushy turrets, and 1 inch tube ie less correction 30mm tube and up for 1000. For cheap 20moa get a base .

You simply won't beat the Tikka CTR for the money.

Do a 6BR or improved version. You will appreciate the accuracy and cost of it

Went back through posts. I don't handload. Simply can't justify the time now. One of reasons for the 6.5 cm was the selection of factory ammo availability, balance of range vs recoil, and usabilty for hunting.
I was most seriously looking at the Tikka and Ruger; but it ultimately came down to my wife liking the rifle and scope. I've learned, through experience, that is the biggest factor.
I talked with a guy at a gun shop who loves his Valkyrie; but haven't seen much elsewhere. It seems to have faded. Had thought it might be a good AR option.

Adding a good brake will make a soft shooting rifle even better. Yes it makes it louder but anything you can do to make the shooting experience more pleasant for her is a plus. My wife shoots a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, basically a long action Creedmore for deer, bang flop, she shoots it well!

Give Ryan Pierce at piercision rifles a call. He is up here in Iowa, an amazing shot and amazing rifle builder. His muscle brakes are highly regarded

There is a video on you tube where someone tested 15 or 20 brakes on a sled mounted rifle and rated them. Its worth watching ,the most expensive are not always the best. If she will be shooting prone position a lot a brake without bottom holes is good to have.

Got tired of getting pounded weekly with a 308 and went with a factory Rem 700 PSS with a 26" 1 IN 9 twist for 6 bills and handloaded 75 Amax and Sierra 77 and 80 HP Sierras and have gone to almost 1 K with no problems.
Rocking Lapua brass and pushing 556 pressures but it will stabilize the 80s. I will say start with Wolf SRM primers and H322 or Varget for the 75s. Varget is a no go with the 80s, too much compression.
If you want to go alittle better than a factory rig, look in the BST over on snipers hide. Start looking for good glass now. There are deals but you have to ready to move.
