Last year March or so I bought a Single 7 SS with the 4.62" bbl. Last April or so I sold it. Just do not like Stainless guns at all, owned 3 and 3 are gone. Gun was great, reloading those itty bitty cases was a pain but okay. Well I am thinking about getting a replacement. The BLUE 5.5" with the Bisley grip looks good as well as the "LITE weight" 4.62" in BLUE. Since the 4.62" with the ALUMINUM grip frame was mentioned on this forum last year can anyone give a pro/con view of the gun and has anyone compared the Bisley to the "LITE weight ? Thanks, Jerry

I think what it is, when I was about 5 or 6 years old, back in early 50's, my mother made me stand outside in the rain holding a silver plated gun and I must have been struck by lightening. Nothing against them, I just don't like them.

I too have never understood the hatred of Stainless guns. I own many blued firearms, & also many Stainless...Both have their place & purpose in my opinion.

I own both of the Single Sevens you ask about. The "Lightweight" gun is good, but not as light as you'd think. The sights were terrible and made for Stevie Wonder. Replaced mine with Fermin's front and Ruger rear.
That being said, I'm a Bisley lover. Mine is ready at Dave Clements. It recd a complete overhaul. Not because the gun was bad, but Dave does work that puts the guns on par with the finest I've seen.
Both guns are useful and grip choice is a personal preference. This thread will and where it stsrted. The choice is yours...
