Encore64 where are they on clearance at...? Might have to get one if they're cheap enough... Not sure, my LGS done the leg work on that. I'm excited about this project. Will certainly be unique and uncommon.

If it was me...I'd see about running a 401 Powermag reamer in to 1.4" like Lee Martin's 401 Bobcat; but to run resized and trimmed 414 SM cases. And see about using moonclips to shoot 40 S&W, 10mm,10mm Mag, 401 Powermag, and the 401 Lynx (just made that up). You might be able to get more case length out of a SRH, I'm not entirely sure...
What do you guys think...? Anyone know how to tag Lee in this post...?

Let us know how it turns out. A really cool 38-40 maybe could be built on one of the 10mm gp100's but i think a custom five shot cylinder would be needed as i don't think there is enough meat on the stock six hole. 38-40 has to be one of the coolest cartridges ever made.

Just to update this thought...
Got the SRH 10mm in hand. Extremely well made gun, but the 38-40 WCF is calling my name.
Got Hogue Laminated Grips for it before the build begins. Want this one done right.
This morning I slugged the barrel. Was surprised when it came in at .399"+, but not quite .400". This will make a very good starting place.
I've slugged and measured 10mm Barrels at .404"+. This is a train wreck for cast bullets and rarely does very well with jacketed bullets.
Will lap and polish this one before the build begins.
Realize interests in this project will be low for most. Many just don't realize the true potential this fine cartridge provides. A 38-40 build on the SRH Frame will be easily as strong as the Linebaugh Guns with an oversized 6-Shot Cylinder. This and the ability to easily scope should make one terrific gun.

I'm not sure Joe. I asked my LGS to keep an eye out. When they found one they grabbed it.
At this point, I'm glad they did...
