Just paid for, & got my 22 Cooper Centerfire Magnum 8 Shot Bisley Single Six home this week, from John Powers, & today, I just got a call from Dave Clements, that he expects my 10mm Rimmed, chopped & slab sided GP-100 will be done in a week or two... this is another I've really been looking forward to getting back... This, originally a 4" stainless 357 Magnum GP-100 was my 1st handgun,& thus is an early model, coming back, it'll be chambered for 10mm Rimmed ( no moon clip ) 3" barrel, & slab sided... along with a little tuning... I have a Ruger GP-100 Compact rubber grip here for it, with some custom inserts that Zane made up for me... Spalted Sindora Burl... ...now trying to scrape the money together for a 2nd custom in one month This picture from Dave's website of a GP-100 similar to mine... mine will not be machined for moon clips, & will have an orange fiber optic front sight, Rugers new Compact grip, with the inserts pictured above... thinking about sending this one out for some engraving next, & getting a black gator leather holster from Simply Rugged to complete the package... will need to get a picture of the compact grips next to the standard... but I think Zane said the inserts ended up fitting the SP-101 grips, so they must be similar in size... shopruger.com/Rubber-Grips-with-Rosewood-Inserts-Compact/productinfo/70084/BTW... the rosewood inserts that came with my compact grips were not that nicely figured...

Congratulations and I know how you feel. Both Clements and Reeder finished me customs this week. Am coordinating shipping with both around my work schedule.
Just shipped Clements the base gun for a 38-40/10mm Blackhawk Tuesday.
Waiting on a call any day from JRH on my 218 Bee Single Six. I'm broke, broke, broke. But, happy..

added some more details to the 1st post... & sold 5 guns from my collection yesterday to a private collector, so I now have funds for this latest project, including some engraving, & the nice Simply Rugged Holster Hmmm... just compared the 2 grips on Rugers website... only 1/4" difference in height... won't stick out "quite" so much on the belt, but I would have guessed the difference to be more than 1/4"

Funny how things work out... just got an e-mail from Dave Clements with my final billing for the 10mm Rimmed GP-100, & a minute later... Michael Gouse e-mailed me & asked me to call, to discuss engraving... looking like I'll have the GP here next week, & only for a couple weeks, & it'll be going of to Michael, for a 50 - 60% engraving... now need to get some money sent to Robb at Simply Rugged for a nice black gator CCW holster

Was looking at the Talo Engraved SP-101, & thinking similar in coverage & style on my remade GP-100

Got my 1st draft drawings of rough engraving designs for this GP-100 from Master Gouse... his 1st draft, was very close to what I was looking for after we discussed... these changes just might get me carrying a double action again... & may very well turn my 1st handgun, back to my favorite handgun??? I should have the gun actually here for 2-4 weeks to perfect ( or at least get close ) a load I like for the 10mm rimmed, before I send it back out for engraving...

Ordered my Black Gator Holster, & a Gator trimmed black gun belt today from Rob at Simply Rugged for this GP... Thought I'd post some artist drawings... This is a 1st draft, & Mike explaining to me the types of scroll work... note that the drawings are 2 dimensional, & done in heavy black, to help simulate the blackening that will be on the gun... we will have to work around Dave Clements makers mark on the finished product... I think I'm going to like it...

That is going to be nice...
I have one of the GP-100 Match Champions in 10mm and it is an excellent shooter. One of the limited edition 3" guns is on the bucket list. I am just hoping that one day Starline will bring out some 10mm AR brass that will work in the GPs and Smiths...

My 10mm Rimmed cases are made from 41 special or mag brass, & this gun will then work without the moon clips... but being I have a S&W 610 that uses moon clips, if Ruger came out with a 3" GP in 10mm... I'd probably have to find a way to come up with one

Got my 10mmR ( as its stamped ) home, it looks great, and both the double action and single action trigger pulls are much improved... Dave Clements did a great job on the tune... had my buddy with the match champion give it a try, and while the worn in single action pull was better than his new match champion, it took 20 years to get there naturally... now both actions are improved over the 20 year break in
I got that Ruger compact grip on the gun, and the spalted inserts Zane made... love the look...
Fiber optic front sight is green, so it needs changing for an orange one ( my personal preference) couple weeks it’ll be off for some engraving
I’ll try to get a few pictures up, but my mother is in the ICU with an infection, so that is changing a lot of my weekend plans

Wow, just when I thought this package couldn’t get any better. I can’t wait to see that. I have a couple simply rugged holsters, and I really like them.
