Cant wait to see range report! My hope is it shoots like the stainless one he did for me. It outshoots my FA by a small margin with properly sized cast bullets. However, the FA has a definite advantage with jacketed. Time will tell and I'm optimistic with the upgrades.

Encore64, Gotcha. I don't see the bolt block purely as a "fix" for a problem, but rather a necessary support system for the bolt (cylinder latch). I install blocks in every S.A. I tune. Bolt windows by themselves are naturally "too big" so the addition of a higher tollerance block seems an appropriate addition to every S.A. Just my "analness" I reckon . . .

Mike Hey, nothing wrong with that. Put an oversized bolt in my Reeder 5-Shot 38-40. Had a little slack and took some effort. Now it locks up tight and shoots great. My JRH 25-20 Single Six is blocked and the 218 Bee he is building me now will be also.

This extra work took a bit longer than expected. But, sure as Dave Clements always is, he finished it today.
Was sure glad to get that email this morning and look forward to the gun. I'll get the Blackline Maple Grips put on it and follow up with a range report.
Several Forum Members have Smallbore Projects going on. Good to see this trend picking up steam.

Not sure there's enough difference between those two statements to haggle over.

Magnumwheelman, Axehandle and a few others do too.
MWM has the 22 COM and Axe has the 22 K-Hornet.

Dave sent tracking number yesterday and this gun will arrive today. With any luck details, pictures and range report will follow.
This is my third Clements Custom 327 Federal in a row. The man probably thinks I have a problem and may well be right.

Our guns must be blood brothers... must have been sitting on the workbench at the same time... I've not gotten a tracking yet, but my 10mm Rimmed GP is supposed to be shipping this week as well sent my check out last Friday...

My JRH 25-20 Single Six is blocked and the 218 Bee he is building me now will be also. Gottcha, Using a bolt block is really the only way to make sure the bolt (latch) is "mechanically accurate" . It mounts on a pin (it can rock) and it protrudes through an oversized window (has lateral movement). A "fitted" bolt block removes this "built-in" slop and allows for a more accurate lock-up which also reduces locking notch "wear" / destruction. As far as I know, Dave is the only one that offers this and (as stated before) I include it as "normal" in my services.Mike

Well, the gun arrived. All I can say is Dave Clements is some kind of gunsmith.
The gun is simply superb. I won't repeat all the work performed, but every detail is perfect. The bluing has to be seen to be believed.
The end shake had to be zero, the cylinder face and barrel turned square to get the near zero barrel gap I requested.
I'll install the grips tonight and get some pictures posted.
