I dont know I have ever seen one of his leverguns up for sale, he hasnt made very many and they are cherished guns when they are completed. That would be a serious boomer though

I'm lucky enough to have a Forkin No 1 in 500AK that Kelye sold me. He makes a nice rifle for sure.
Is that gun really worth nearly $4k?

Who knows, but do you know where you could buy another Forkin 500 Alaskan for $4k? I could say that about a half a dozen guns in my safe if not more. Doesn't make them worth $4k. What I meant was I don't know what he charges and I don't know what other builders charge for 500AK conversions, and I don't know the strength of the aftermarket. So it was a legit question: is that gun really worth nearly $4k? I guess we're about to find out.

If you go by what companies like Grizzly Custom and Wild West Guns get for similar packages I think it isn't out of line, especially when you factor in its rarity. I'm not buying it but I would like to have it in my safe.

I hadn't heard much talk of Mr. Forkin doing Ruger No. 1 customs. He's doing a conversion of a .357 Bisley to 45 Colt for me. Once that's in my hands, maybe I'll get in trouble with a No. 1 custom. I want a 45-70 built with a heavy 26" bbl in the profile of the "Tropical" big bores.
Or maybe someone will do a special run like that.
Dream on, D.......

This Forkin has been relisted for $500 less I think. Still expensive but so is waiting 4-5 years.
