I am not a big fan of fixed sight guns. But, after looking at this model, I knew I had to try one.
The selling point was the classic Peacemaker styling with an octagon barrel. They are available in 357 Magnum or 45 Colt. In this classic style, the choice was easy.
Picked the gun up today and my first impression is great. The fit and finish are first rate. The CCH is as good as any factory Colt I've seen. Barrel gap is tight enough that a .003" feeler gauge has to be coaxed in. All six cylinder throats measure a snug .452". Barrel slugged at .450", so I'm thinking a good shooter. Will know shortly.
Grips are straight grained and well fit. Nothing extraordinary, but very nice for a sub $500 gun.
I know a few unknowing folks look down on the Italian Copies. But, I've had very good experiences with mine.
A range report will follow...

Walked out to my 75 yard revolver range and fired a few cylinders full. Mild loads of 250 grn XTP over 9.0 grn CFE PISTOL.
Groups at 25 yards averaged 1.5". They were running 1.5-2" low as expected. Windage running right on, so won't mess with that.
This will be a cast bullet gun in the future. When a load is found, front sight will be modified and bluing touched up.
Plenty of hunting revolvers. Minute of beer can plenty good for a toy.

All my Uberti’s have been stellar so far in accuracy, durability, and fit/finish.

Is this model the same frame size as the Colt SAA?

All my Uberti’s have been stellar so far in accuracy, durability, and fit/finish. I stand by this statement as well! I love my Uberti's and Pietta's. Never an issue and one of mine has been shot A LOT! Still as tight as the day I got her! And I also agree, that some of the CCH, fit/finish are top rate. My Cavalry model Cimarron is one of the prettiest I have seen of ANY SAA, including Colt.

I shot a 3-1/2" Cimarron SA.45 colt that is very accurate, & nice looking a nice six-gun.
