Great pics!!
I love the camp and awesome shooting.
At the risk of sounding stupid, what is a 308 Pentas?

Thanks for the clarification. I have seen the bullet you are talking about just had no idea that is what it is called.

Am truly impressed with the skill and marksmanship of you guys, using belt packable open sighted revolvers. On my best day would still be a bit behind ya's. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Its been a few years since I have been able to chase ground squirrels with my wheel guns, nothing will make you a better hunter quicker than a near endless supply of vermin will. Looks like fantastic way to spend a few days and unwind.
Need to speak with someone about a proper set of grips for that pinto revolver, just saying.
And what the heck is the reason for the rainbow tape on the BFR? Certainly doesn't hurt the performance at all I see...

I don’t think everyone thinks it needs to be on there! But it’s a good conversation starter online. It’s been on since last deer season. As far as the two tone gun, the ol Goodyear grips work pretty well after you sand all the bumpys off of them!

Enjoyed the thread & pictures... it's been a long time since I've been dogging... back then, ( 20 -25 years ago ) we just drove out to the center of dog town, set up a couple folding tables & chairs ( we only went out for one long day ) started out with 10-22's for closer shooting & worked our way out distance wise to the bigger guns... everything was mostly rifles, but I did bring several Contenders with handgun barrels... 22 Hornet, 223, & 7-30 Waters ( I used the 7-30 Waters on a Badger at about 125 - 150 yards )... if / when I go next time, several revolvers will definitely need to be in the battery, after looking at your results
the most fun gun for me, was an AR in 223, that I built specifically for dogging... flat top with a 20X scope, took the flash hider off & replaced with a good functional compensator... allowed me to watch close up the actual hits & destruction, which was pretty cool... probably should have kept that rifle... but I'm not much of an AR fan, so I traded that one off long ago...
that was before I got my range finder, & we ended up "driving them in" sometimes 2-3 shots to get the correct hold... your thread brings back a lot of memories...
