Good luck pulling the grips in that one. Roy told me those one piece grips were so tightly built and fit to that grip that he doubted if I could take it apart! If you do, be careful!

Robb, I’ll use blue painter tape. No way I’m going to risk messing up Roy’s handiwork.
Seriously, I have a terrible aversion to taking one of these customs apart. No issues with whipping through a stock Ruger single action, a S&W DA, lever action rifles or even a machine gun or two. But these customs make me feel real hesitant.
Anybody else have that problem? Tim

Tim I will admit that the first time usually makes me tighten up a little. Don't know why. I usually don't take them apart unless there is something wrong which in my experience is VERY seldom if they were built right.

Dug out some 327 Fed Mag handloads. They shoot well from my Bowen Single Six. Walked down to the range and a nice doe was standing broadside against the berm. She stayed put until I had walked within 50 yards then she bolted. FA's have a reputation of being bank vault tight and this one certainly lives up to that rep. Took a little effort to fully seat the handloads. Lots of cylinder room left for longer bullets in this cylinder. These loads hit low but it's way too hot with way too many mosquitoes to hang around and start adjusting things. It was a pleasure to shoot though, once I figured out the hold-over. I'll try to get some reloading done next week.
Nice gun!
Thanks Robb!
Tim
