Well I'm another recent convert to the Powder Coating world.
Having read Sixshot's experiences with pc really turned the tide for me. Sixshot has shown his prowess and skills many times over. When he became an advocate, I had to sit up and listen.
I read all I could and then jumped in. My first dozen tests all turned out well, and for a rare occasion my lady commented that she liked the look of those "cute" bullets. I have kind of gotten carried away and have found myself heading to the garage to do another batch of rainbows every day. I am using Smoke's pc and must have a dozen colors. Adding a second color and watching them bleed and flame is a hoot. It reminds me a great deal of salt glazing pottery and never knowing what the final art piece would look like coming out of the kiln.
I've also had good luck making a few bullets oversize by adding the pc (S&W 25-5). I enjoy handling pc much more than naked lead and my hands stay clean. PC colors are a great way to indicate different loads. Reds are hot loads, pinks are puff loads.
So I must give a big shout out "Thank You" to our very own Dick Thompson for getting me walking this powder coating path. It's already given me many hours of enjoyment.

I’ve shot pc bullets with Dick and unfortunately had bought a case of LBT blue lube Year’s ago. Since powder coating I don’t think I’ll ever use the lube again.

Seem to recall that Contender is sitting on a bunch of lube too. Other uses ? Garage door tracks say ? I'll keep a rein on my sense of humor for a change.

SOME OF THE COMMERCIAL CAST BULLET COMPANIES OFFER A SMALL SELECTION OF THEIR BULLETS IN PC, SOME DO NOT OFFER ANY PC'ed BULLETS, AND A LOT OF THEM ARE STILL EMPHASIZING THEIR "HARD" CAST BULLETS. I HOPE TO SEE MORE AND MORE PC'ed BULLETS BEING OFFERED AS I DO NOT CAST MY OWN, NOR DO I WANT TO GET BACK INTO IT.

Dick, et. al. Thanks for this thread. Just recently started reloading and dream of consistent groups the size of those achieved with Dick's bullets on page one. Don't cast but have used Hi-Tek bullets from Bayou and Acme. Missouri's next. Has anyone used these bullets or applied Hi-Tek themselves? Just wondered how it compares to powder coat. If I'm not super careful, it can rub off, especially during seating.

I plan on picking up their 158gr swc for 357 magnum in the future as well.

Thanks for the Missouri Bullets recommendation, squigz. Interesting that they also have choices on Brinell hardness. Lefty, there are YouTube videos on both PC and Hi-Tek. The process is different. PC, shake and bake. Hi-Tek looks more complicated, involving mixing of ingredients, including acetone. All commercial bullet makers seem to use Hi-Tek but there may be some that do powder coat.

I'm not sure but I think with Hi-Tek them bake them twice, could be wrong since I've never done it.
