I'm not much of a shotgunner & a terrible wing shooter (extremely cross-dominant), but have a 20" M590A1 with ghost ring sights & NOS wood 'riot gun' furniture, along with the TALO Shockwave for bump in the night duty. I bought a half-dozen 590A1s for a rural MO Sheriff's Dept. (I was the range officer) in the early 90s and spent a couple of hours zeroing them at 50 yards, with slugs. 590s are great shotguns but I was pretty tired of them when that was all over I shot doves and quail as a kid and was just OK at it. 30 years with riot guns on stationary targets didn't help any. When I retired, I bought a Do-All White Wing thrower and it may have been the best $275 I ever spent on shooting gear. You can attach a 100 foot extension to the foot switch, angle it out 45 degrees and shoot high crossers speeding by, 35 yards from the muzzle. A 22" barrel with screw-in chokes is about perfect for an old flatfoot who spent half his life getting corrupted on short barrel shotguns.

I can't do a DP-12. Way to cool for me.

Mossberg Shockwave... Range guns. They shoot 12 and 20 gauge shotguns shells but.... Per the ATF... not shotguns. Customers on our range love them. They have proven to be tough reliable little beasts. Axe is the 20gauge built on a smaller receiver than the 12?
