While I am certainly not in the same category as Paul Dachton or our own James the Pigman Swidryk, I have occasionally found some snorters: My first wild boar, taken in Tellico Junction, Tennessee in 1978 with a SBH: Another Tenn. boar from 1990, taken with a 5-1/2" .44 Redhawk. He was bayed by dogs when I shot him, and he turned and ran right at me., dogs both being pursued, and in pursuit. A second shot stopped him at 5 feet: This hog was the first animal ever taken with the then-brand new .500 Wyoming Express, in the mountains of North Carolina: My first Javelina, taken with a 5" 629 at about 25 yds.: Missouri Ozarks wild boar taken with a FA 555 .50 AE, while hunting with Mark Hampton: My first Warthog, taken with a 7-1/2" Redhawk .44 in Zimbabwe, hunting with my daughter Julie: Another Missouri boar, taken with a FA 6" octagon .475 Linebaugh: Wild Boar taken in the Florida Everglades with a FA .475 Linebaugh, at about 30 yards: Another Warthog, shot with a FA .454 in South Africa. With me is Mario Cannata, his ranch hand, Bushmon, and Mario's Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rex. When hit, this Warthog ran like lightening into the thick jess, and Rex was summoned to track him. Thanks, Rex. South Texas Brush Country Javelina shot with FA 83 .41 Mag. at about 25 yards: Another South Texas Javelina taken with FA .454 at about 55 yards: Photos of 2 European wild Boar taken in Spain, of a U.S. boar or two, a couple in N.Z., and several of warthogs are lost somewhere in the abyss of my computer, and since I have the technology comprehension of a caveman, I guess they will stay hidden ….

Great hog hunt pics Ken! How was the Everglades hunt in regard to overall adventure and experience? It was one more opportunity to experience our wonderful hunting habitat diversity and I greatly enjoyed it. For me, I value the whole overall experience of hunting around the world. The scenery, history of the area, the culture, the habitat and as much knowledge as possible of the animals to be hunted are all important. The Everglades, while in the U.S., do provide a different dimension than what most of us are used to.

Seems like a positive mindset to maximize the overall experience.

Very nice photo's Ken with a variety of hand guns. I thought I was the only one who had photo's on the computer that he couldn't find, I'm missing several pages & I know they're on here some place but "where" is some place! That one Missouri hog sure has a different look to it, is that Russian, Razorback, etc?
