I have 3 of them & all have taken several mule deer & white tails but those black stocks are way too thin for me! The guns all shoot great!

Love my original catalog NVB-444-SPCL, never cared for the later Bisleys.

I bought the 5.5" gun that Ross tested in the article complete with trigger work and taylor throat. Loved it so much I bought 2 or 3 more, one of which is at Bowen's now for a full house conversion to 38 spacial with S&W barrel and all the bells and whistles. Really like them!

Now, if we're talking conversions.......
These revolvers are great as so many have chimed in.
But, they are also the perfect canvas for custom work!
Many of the more recent production guns (bisleys) with the laser etched serial number are perfect for the 5 shot conversions. The early guns along with the 50th anniversary guns have the stamped serial number too close to the cylinder window.

I'm having one built right now with a Colt New Frontier Barrel in 44 Special. I have a whole series of these guns planned to be built.

I have both the .44 and the 45 convertible Flattops. I lean more towards the 45 as my favorite of the 2.

Well dang I didn’t realize they still had these cataloged. My LGS is a Lipsey dealer I think I’ll go in Monday and have her order me one. Went down with the full intention of ordering a Stainless 4 5/8" Bisley and she comes out with a box with a blued 4 5/8" plow handle with a price that got me out the door at under $500. Can't wait to go shoot this little beauty.

I'm so tickled with mine that I had to have a special holster just for it. Need to dress it up with some nice grips as well. It has been one of the easiest guns for me to shoot well. With 5 grains of Bullseye and a 255 grain 429421 or 17 grains of 2400 with the same bullet it shoots wonderful little clusters. There are a lot of revolvers that I could part with, but I'll not part with the Bisley Flattop 44 Special.
