Second Roebuck, also taken with.257 JDJ: After the last day of hunting, my hosts wanted to shoot the .257 JDJ, so we went to an area on their property where they could. After the shooting, one of them spotted a ringneck pheasant in the brushy woodline, and insisted I shoot it. I declined saying ringnecks should only be shot in the air, with a shotgun. They continued to pester me, no doubt knowing I couldn't possibly hit it at a ranged 220 yards. Of course, as an old silhouette shooter accustomed to shooting pheasant size shoot- off chickens at 220 yards, this was child's play that I neglected to mention to them, and I finally gave in to their taunts. Bang, flop. Here's the result. I've never had them SCI scored, just CIC scored. I'll look for the sheets when I can. You're right, though. That second one is indeed a very nice one. Both are also very heavily pearled.
