Click on one of the pics in the ad and a number of pics come up. Appears the large diameter barrel tapers into the frame and becomes smaller.

We aren’t really their target market for this gun. But conversely, the people that buy this weren’t the the target market for the 454 and 480 five shot Bisley Blackhawks. For “us” I see these as tackle box and glove box guns. I see these as give aways to get people shooting. I buy knives in this price range to give to my assistants and leads for a job well done, why not this? Have you looked at a common rack of rifles lately in a LGS? $300 bolt rifles everywhere. This is Ruger’s single action version of their American line of rifles. American made and Ruger backed, I see a place for it.

I hope it is someones first revolver and or single action. I hope it sparks a fire for them to buy more SA Rugers. I also hope they didnt cut too many corners and they are well built and reliable. Nothing is more frustrating than getting a new gun that issues. The first thing on my list would be crooked or canted front sights! Time will tell......I may look into getting lne for my daughter. She struggles to hold her 6 1/2” SS.

Looks like a MIM hammer. Honestly, as long as it isn't a total pile of steaming feces, I kind of like it. I personally feel that the Single Six series is way overpriced for what it is. And at least the Wrangler isn't polymer - and it ain't as ugly as the LCR! But then again, not much else **is**. I'll buy one once I return to the States. Correct me if i’m wrong, arent most all Ruger parts MIM?

I feel like this is going to sell relatively well. And the expensive Single Six will be phased out. And then they'll make a bigger twin in 357. And it'll sell relatively well. And so on.

I am actually anxious to see one of these. Im with kaytod ,looks to be the perfect trapline gun. I see nothing enjoyable about packing a $300 (USED)revolver while sliding down rocky creek banks and sometimes into the creek. I put off buying a Heritage because I just couldn't get around the way the frame looks assembled or the "paint" that chips off of them. Someone at Ruger saw a piece of the pie they were loosing and went after it. Makes a HELL of a lot more sense than the 10mm Super Redhawk and 7 shot Redhawk.

If the price point on these gets new people into the single action world, I’m all for it. My boys and I shoot the daylights out of any .22 that comes our way, and one of these likely will.

Good grief. Seems like the answer to a question nobody asked. KEN OBVIOUSLY A LOT OF PEOPLE ASKED OR RUGER WOULD NOT BE MAKING IT.

I don't see it replacing the Single Six but an addition to the line-up designed to compete directly with the Heritage. Cerakote is a good finish. That stuff they spray on the Rough Rider, not so much. I'll take the silver one.

Sounds like some folks have never had to watch their pennies. I remember when a cheap .22 revolver cost a weeks pay and a good one (S&W K 22) cost two. Providing it's a good, reliable, firearm and not just a low-dollar POS, …I think it's great. I will probably buy one just to save wear and tear on some of my "nice" guns. Hmm, Rather than this POS, I recently purchased a Used Single Six for $199. A whole lot more gun than this cerakoted offering. Not for me but as I said, Ruger is trying to compete against other low cost offerings. If they don't hold up well, I'm not sure that it helps Ruger's reputation in the long run.

I was in my LGS this morning to pic up a couple of guns I had bought ( story later on those, 44 and 475) and he said he would sell them for $189. He unenthusiastically sells heritage now. He has the wranglers on order.

I get what you’re saying, and I would rather have an older real single six. However, I know people that just will not buy used firearms. I don’t understand it, but there are people out there. Their argument will be, why would I buy a used one for 200 when I could get this new one for 190? Since I have seven or eight single sixes already, I will buy one of the bronze ones just to try out. If it holds up pretty good, then I will buy some for the grandkids. I have faith that these will be 100% better than the heritage is, as I just cannot see the Ruger putting their name on junk. Granted, the QC is not what it used to be, but all in all, Ruger still makes a fine firearm. I think people probably made the same comparison to the American when they came out, comparing them to the M 77. Sounds like some folks have never had to watch their pennies. Good grief. Seems like the answer to a question nobody asked. KEN OBVIOUSLY A LOT OF PEOPLE ASKED OR RUGER WOULD NOT BE MAKING IT. I think people asked... they asked Heritage Arms. Ruger probably looked at that and said "if this is what people are buying, then they should be buying from us.: Makes total sense. My only worry is about the Single Six, if production will go down and prices will go up.
